Grades!!!
Finding out that your spring semester grades are finally up on Banner is like Christmas. Except more nerve-wracking, because unlike Christmas, what you open up may not necessarily be a gift. Well, when I got home last night from the bars at 2 in the morning, I was rather taken aback to read all my friends’ Facebook statuses about grades being up. Not wanting final grades to keep me up all night, I saved the big reveal for today.
And so, I woke up this morning and luckily remembered that grades were up, and when that screen on the self-service application loaded, I held my breath.
Dun dun dun.
Honestly, I didn’t feel like I put in any effort to my classes this semester at all, at least not until practically the last 2.5 weeks of school. Unlike last semester, where I was legitimately sad to see all my classes end, I did not care about this semester at all. It also didn’t help that there were quite a few distractions, and I went out and got drunk every weekend. And yet, somehow I managed to pull off a 3.86 GPA. This is the closest I have ever gotten to straight A’s. I am in shock. And the one class I got the B+ in was the one class I feared I would get a C in.
I don’t know what I did, or how I did it, but I’m so happy that I ended the year with such a bang. Junior year theoretically should have been my hardest year ever, and while it certainly required more work than my freshman and sophomore years combined, it wasn’t as hard as I thought. I mean, I took a whole bunch of advanced hour classes this semester and yet I made through them. I actually increased my GPA this semester.
Hooray!! Here’s to two more semesters left of my undergraduate career!!! (*sniff*)

well done you..i wish i could just relax like you and get such a high gpa!!lol
